Everybody Deserves Music is fiscally sponsored by the Los Angeles Leadership Academy, a California nonprofit public benefit corporation qualified as exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
The Los Angeles Leadership Academy was founded in 2001, and has been serving middle and high school students in the Lincoln Heights area since then. Their mission is to prepare urban secondary students to succeed in college or on chosen career paths, to live fulfilling, self-directed lives, and to be effective in creating a just and humane world. They also aim to provide students with opportunities to take action on important social issues, to work alongside community mentors, and to enhance the learning power of these experiences through reflection and skill development in the classroom.
